Students may take courses and earn degrees throughout the state at NJIT's extension sites listed below. Admissions requirements and the quality of instruction are the same for on-campus and extension programs. Registration, advisement and support services are available at each site.

Gloucester County @ Gloucester County College - courses leading to BS in Engineering Technology.

Hudson County @ New Jersey City University – courses leading to the MS in Computer Science and MS in Information Systems. Graduate Certificate in Data Mining, Information Systems Implementation.

Mercer County at the Department of Transportation: courses leading to the completion of a Master of Science in Transportation.

Mercer County @ Department of Environmental Protection - courses leading to MS in Environmental Science and Environmental Policy Studies. 

Mercer County @ Department of Transportation - courses leading to MS in Transportation.  Graduate certificate in Project Management.

Passaic County @ William Paterson University – courses leading to MS in Applied Statistics, MS in Mathematics, and MS in Computer Science. Graduate Certificate in Data Mining.

NJIT also has a presence in Ocean County @ NJ Coastal Communiversity in Wall Township - online courses leading to BSIT and graduate certificates and master's degrees
